United Airlines to cut 13 high-level executives, adding international flights in July
United Airlines Holdings Inc (UAL.O) announced on Friday that it would terminate 13 out of its 67 officers to save funds as the coronavirus pandemic continues to keep a lid on travel demand. The airline company said that it would add international flights back to its network.

The Chicago-based carrier stated that trans-Atlantic services from Washington, D.C. and San Francisco would be added to some cities across Europe in July. United Airlines said that it would also resume its operations in Tokyo-Haneda, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Seoul.

United Airlines said that it would offer voluntary separation options and other packages to its thousand employees.
“While there are glimmers of good news in our July schedule — we expect to be down about 75% versus 90% right now — travel demand is still a very long way from where it was at the end of last year, and the financial impact on our business remains severe,” the airline said in a written statement.
