Ukraine recorded an increase in industrial production by 2.9%
The Ukrainian Statistical Office informed about the dynamics of industrial production in Ukraine in January. According to this data, at the end of the first month of this year, industrial production in the country increased by 2.9% compared to the same month of the previous year. At the same time, the volume of industrial production, taking into account the calendar factor for the twelve months to January, showed an increase of 2.3%. The country’s State Statistics Service also reported that compared to the previous month, the volume of industrial production decreased by 13%. Also, this indicator, taking into account the seasonal factor, showed zero growth over the month. The volume of output in the metallurgical industry and the production of metal products increased by 7.1% over the twelve months. At the same time, compared to the previous month, this indicator decreased by 4.5%. The volume of iron ore mined in January increased by 0.4% over the year and decreased by 3.5% over the month. Ukraine ended 2021 with an annual increase in industrial production of 1.1%.
