Toyota flashes new cars with advanced driving assist technology
Toyota Motor Corp flashed its new Lexus and Mirai car models in Japan on Thursday. These cars are tooled with the automaker’s newest advanced driver assistance that facilitates wireless software updates and safe driving features.
Toyota’s Advanced Drive, its latest driving assist technology is a level 2 autonomous system that enables drivers to effortlessly perform several driving conditions including keeping the car in its lane, maintaining the distance from other vehicles, and changing lanes on expressways.
The Lexus LS model is slated to be on sale starting Thursday, with prices ranging from 16.3 million to 17.9 million yen. On April 12, the second generation Mirai hydrogen fuel cell car will be publicly offered costing between 8.4 million to 8.6 million yen.
The upcoming car models will also be powered with an advanced parking assistance system to enable drivers to maneuver their way to safe parking.
