Thailand’s November exports fall 7.39% year-on-year
Thailand’s duty-free exports in November fell 7.39% from a year earlier after it had fell 4.54% in the previous month, according to the commerce ministry on Monday.
Shipments to China roose 2.3% in November from a year earlier while shipments to the United States dropped 2.6%. November imports contracted 13.8% from a year earlier after falling 7.57% the previous month. This was is contrast to a Reuters poll who expected a fall of 6.8% last month.
November’s trade surplus amounted to $0.55 billion compared to a forecast for $0.19 billion deficit.
Between January to November, exports has contracted 2.77% from a year earlier and imports fell 5.22%.
