Megafon’s revenue grew in 2021 by 6.6%

One of the largest Russian mobile operators, Megafon, reported a 6.6% increase in annual revenue. It amounted to 354.2 billion rubles. The company’s net profit increased 2.5 times to 66.3 billion rubles. Megafon also announced the results of the 4th quarter. The amount of net profit jumped 7.4 times to 32.3 billion rubles. Quarterly revenue increased by 10.9% to 97.1 billion rubles. The highest revenue growth rate was recorded from the sale of smartphones and accessories for them during the pre-holiday days of last year. Data on income from international roaming “MegaFon” did not report. For the three months of the reporting quarter, the company’s net debt decreased by 41.6 billion rubles to 244.6 billion rubles. The total amount of capital expenditures amounted to 15.4 billion rubles, which is 19.6% less than the figure recorded in the same quarter of 2020. The number of the company’s subscribers increased by 5.7% year-on-year to 74.4 million in the quarter.
