Dunkin Brands to potentially acquire Inspire Brands
On Sunday, Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. (DNKN.O) announced that it held preliminary discussions with Inspire Brands for a potential acquisition agreement. The American fast-food restaurant company declined to reveal further details.
“There is no certainty that any agreement will be reached,” Group’s Chief Communications Officer Karen Raskopf said.
The New York Times reported that Dunkin’ Brands would take a price of $106.50 per share.
On Monday, the New York Times stated that the announcement would be made in public soon.
In 2018, Inspire Brands was established by an American private equity Roark Capital Group.
According to Inspire Brands’ website, the holding company owns more than 11,000 Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, SONIC Drive-In, Rusty Taco, and Jimmy John’s locations globally.
Inspire Brands declined to comment on the acquisition agreement.
