Dollar nears multi-week lows as yield support fades
The dollar fell near multi-week lows against peers on Thursday as fading gains in U.S. Treasury yields lowered the dollar’s advantage
Sentiment for the dollar fell as Treasury yields plunged. The dollar slid slightly to 107.93 per yen, near a seven-week low.
The euro traded at $1.2033, not far from the highest level hit since March 3. The pound stood at 1.3931 against the dollar.
In onshore trade, the yuan climbed to $6.4828 to hit its highest level since March 12. The Canadian dollar was quoted at $1.2510, after hitting a six-week high on Wednesday.
The Aussie and the kiwi stood near one-month highs against the dollar.
